Our doctors are certified by the American Board of Orthodontics. The highest honor awarded to an Orthodontist. Our doctors teach at The University of Pennsylvania and are on staff at The Reading Hospital and Medical Center as part of the Berks County Cleft Palate Clinic.

Drs. Barrer and White

James G. Barrer, D.M.D.

Dr. Jim is a life-long resident of Berks County. As a student at Exeter High School, he was the Berks County Doubles Tennis Champion for three years. He continues to be an avid tennis player and sometime golfer. The youngest of three sons, he and his wife, Jackye, live in Exeter Township with their three sons!

Douglas W. White, D.M.D

When he is not busy making beautiful smiles, Dr. Doug plays tennis, golf and enjoys an occasional four mile run. He and his wife, Ann, are often seen at their daughter's and son's sporting events. You may see him in Wyomissing walking with the family dog. Dr. Doug was the number one tennis singles player during his senior year at the University of Pittsburgh. He began working at Barrer & White by cutting the grass in the 1970s!

Warne H. White, D.D.S

After forty years of building the Barrer & White practice, Dr. White is now enjoying his well deserved retirement. 

Dr. White's leisure activities include playing golf, poker, bridge and walking. During the football season Dr. White and his wife, Jan, root for the Pittsburgh Steelers. In 1953, Dr. White won the Pittsburgh City Championship in 200 Freestyle swimming. He has also played golf at midnight while stationed in Iceland in 1962.
